How is it calculated?
- You are entitled to gratuity after completing at least one year of continuous service.
- 21 days' basic wage for each of the first five years.
- 30 days' basic wage for each year after the fifth year.
- Part of a year is paid in proportion to the time worked.
- Unpaid absence days are not counted in the service period.
- Daily wage equals the monthly basic salary divided by 30.
- Total gratuity cannot exceed two years' wage.
- Gratuity is not reduced if you resign.
- Unused annual leave is paid based on basic salary.
- Final month salary equals total salary divided by 30, multiplied by the unpaid working days.
